Ticket Pre-Order Form

Tickets can be used to buy anything and everything the night of the Island Fest. Thursday evening tickets will be 50¢. Order early and save!

To pre-order tickets, fill out and return this pre-order form below with cash or a check payable to: Field PTO. Your tickets will be sent home with your child in a sealed envelope.

Pre-orders must be turned in by Tuesday, April 19.

Pizza Hut will be providing cheese or pepperoni slices for $2.00. This year, you do not need to pre-order your meal!

We need your help! Here is what we need:

Time - We need volunteers to work in one-hour shifts that night. Each volunteer will be given 10 free tickets.

Sponsors - We are looking for businesses or individuals to sponsor our booths or bouncers. Any donation will gladly be accepted. Booths and bouncers can be sponsored from $50 - $250.

Drawing Baskets - Teachers will be asking for donations for their themed classroom baskets. We also need contributions from individuals and businesses to be used in gift baskets.

Pot Luck Jars - A Pot Luck Jar is any size plastic container or Ziploc bag filled with NEW treasures. For example wrapped candy, coins, small toys, etc. Please send your Pot Luck Jars to school with your child anytime between now and the Festival.

Walmart Bag Recycling Fundraiser Discontinued

Field PTO learned this week that Walmart is no longer offering the plastic bag recycling program that was previously listed on the Free Money for Field flyer. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you to those who collected bags in the past. Even though bag recycling is no longer part of fundraising program we encourage you to drop them off at your grocier's recycling bin.

Barro’s Pizza supports our kids once a month by giving a percentage of all Field’s orders back to our school. You can eat in, order out, or have your meal delivered. Box Tops

Cut the Box Tops off of products that you find in your pantry, send them into school with your child, and help us earn lots of free money. Each Box Top is worth 10¢ and that adds up fast.

You can also visit http://www.boxtops4education.com, register in the Booster Club, and Field will get 50¢ for every person who signs up. This website will send you coupons if you are interested, and when we use the site Field will be entered into drawings for cash prizes.

It is always helpful if you can trim the excess around the Box Top. It helps us save a lot of money on shipping when it is time to send them all in.

This year we will have about 15 booths where you can play games and win fun prizes for one ticket each. Some of our booths will be a Duck Pond, Lollipop Tree, Speed Pitch, Drops in the Bucket, Football Toss, Feed the Shark, Face Painting, Pot Luck Jars and much more.

Also new this year is our Novelty Shop featuring cool toys and treats you can purchase with your tickets.

Food

We are excited that our island feast will be catered by Moki’s again this year! You can pre-order meal tickets for $5. You can also use regular tickets to purchase cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, candy, krispy kreme donuts, drinks and baked goods.

Drawings

Instead of the Silent Auction, this year we will be having drawings. You will be able to use your regular tickets to be entered for a chance to win prizes, gift baskets and Time with Teachers.

Our teachers and staff have lots of fun talents they would like to share but it's up to you who will perform! For several days before the Island Fest you will have the opportunity to put your spare change or dollars into your teacher's donation bucket. The three teachers/staff who collect the most change will perform their special talent on stage at the Island Fest. And even better the winning teacher will get to keep half the proceeds for the classroom!

Donations

We are asking families and community partners to assist us in our goal to raise funds for this event. Field Elementary is going to need our help more than ever this upcoming year because of state budget cuts. With your support we hope to help our children have the technology, equipment and additional resources needed to ensure academic success.

Through generous contributions last year, we were able to provide shade structures, new computers, playground equipment, visits from authors and other cultural events for our students. These items have greatly improved the efficiency of our staff and enhanced the quality of education for our students.

We ask you to consider making a contribution to our Island Fest. We will accept whatever you are able to contribute for this year.

The following is a list of possible donations:

Any monetary donation of your choice to cover Island Fest expenses
An item or service for our gift basket drawing
$50.00 to sponsor a game booth
$150.00 to sponsor an inflatable bouncer
$250.00 and up to sponsor the Novelty Booth

In return for your contribution your company name and logo will be advertised in four ways: with large signage at each sponsored booth or bouncer, on our blog, in a program the night of the event, and in a flier sent home to Field parents. Field is expecting the attendance of at least 1000 community members at this event.

Since this year's Island Fest is bigger and better we need a lot of help from parents to make it a success! Holiday House

Field’s Holiday House is a great place for students (and adults!) to get their holiday shopping done for family and friends at prices they can afford. Holiday House is open during the school day December 8-12 and on Saturday, December 13 from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Part of the proceeds of from Holiday House come back to Field PTO to help our school. Thanks for your support!

Breakfast with Santa

Reindeer Run

On Friday, December 19 the Field PE Department will be hosting the Reindeer Run. Tom the Turkey was rained out in November, but a reindeer will be joining the fun as students, staff and families are invited to walk, trot or run the course.

Safeway is having a Back-to-School promotion right now. If you are already signed up with escrip then credit for your qualifying purchases will automatically be given to Field. If you are not signed up for escrip please visit www.escrip.com to do so. If you or someone you know is not currently signed up you can also deposit your receipt in the collection boxes for Field.

Albertson's is having a promotion for Campbells' Labels. If you purchase 10 Campbell's products, many of which are on sale, you can receive 200 bonus labels. The bonus labels coupon is in Albertson's Big Book of Savings which they will give you if you ask. You cut the 200 labels coupon out and staple the Campbell's products labels and your receipt to it and turn it into the school. An easy way to get lots of labels for the school!

Purpose: To include parents in the academic planning for their student's success. Parents/guardians will receive the spring AIMS results for their children. There will be a presentation on how to read the results and how those results compare with school, district, and state average scores. Parents will also receive sample AIMS test questions. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to make suggestions.

Child care will be provided. Please let us know if you will attend and the ages of children who will need child care.

Refreshments will be served following the workshop.

Teacher of the Year

Right now at Sam's Club you can nominate your favorite teacher for the Teacher of the Year Award. There are forms and a box at the customer service desk just inside the door. You submit the teacher's name and school and tell why you think they deserve to be nominated. It only takes a couple of minutes so next time you're shopping at Sam's Club stop by and nominate your favorite Field teacher. Maybe we'll have a winner!

Free Money

This week at Albertson's you can save money on your groceries while earning free money for Field. Now through April 19th when you purchase 8 participating box tops items you will receive a 50 Bonus Box Tops Certificate at the register. (One reward per transaction.) Many of these items are already on sale. In addition, if you purchase 8 items you will get $8.00 off your grocery total. Send your Box Tops Certificates with your child to be turned in at school.
